Project Vibez - Wedding DJ
The Best Officiant/DJ!!!
Andrew was the perfect addition to our wedding, both as an officiant and a DJ. YES, Andrew officiated our wedding with a beautiful, emotional and heartfelt candle ceremony. Then he seamlessly shifted his focus to the music and played songs that kept us and our guests dancing all night long. There was never a moment where the dance floor was empty. I’m so grateful to have found Andrew. He’s bilingual - fluent in English and Spanish - with a diverse background. He was also able to play a mix of Spanish, English and Arabic songs!

DJ - Deejay
You are probably now thinking of the classic private parties for which you can hire a DJ: hire a DJ for your birthday, hire a DJ for a wedding, or a bachelorette party. But you can also hire DJs for other events. Think, for example, of a product launch, the opening of your company, or an open day. You can also hire a DJ for clubs and discos.
Do you want to hire a DJ for a party? Everything is possible
Back in the day, a DJ or disc jockey was someone who put vinyl records on the turntable or record player and played the songs from start to end.
Today things get a bit more technical during the party and DJs play what the public wants, from popular music to home-made tracks and home-made remixes of famous songs. From background music to a solid party, in the genre you want: techno, house, dance, pop, rap, hip-hop, and also retro, schlager, or 'alternative' music. Everything is possible. In addition to the 'classic' DJ, you can also opt for a singing DJ, a VJ, or for an even more impressive experience during the gig: the combination of a DJ and saxophonist or other musicians. The musician then simply plugs into the DJ's equipment.
What to keep in mind when booking a DJ
When hiring a DJ for a party, the most important thing is, of course, the music style, and that also applies to a well-known DJ. The genre must match what you have as a goal for your party or event. You better not hire a DJ who specialises in house or dance at an open house (there is a good chance that your guests will be distracted), or a party where you want to create a sixties atmosphere. A dance or house DJ works perfectly if you want to realise a clubby evening for your birthday.
Also important to keep in mind if you are going to hire a (well-known) DJ: the equipment he or she needs. Therefore, ask whether the artists themselves have the material or whether you should provide it. Some useful vocabulary for this: light and sound systems, also called PA systems, a microphone, DJ furniture, a turntable, or DJ booth. Some also offer optional uplighters if you hire a DJ so you can turn a bare, cold room into a warm environment. The build-up of the equipment of a DJ is quick, between 30 and 60 minutes.
Finally, what is the cost if you are going to hire a party DJ? In general, each artist sets their own price. Those prices can vary enormously. A number of factors also play a role, such as how long the performance lasts, the popularity of the DJ (is he or she booked a lot), the type of equipment with which the DJ works (is there some equipment available at the party venue?), and the travel distance, the DJ's transport, and equipment. Always ask for a clear quote so that you will not be faced with hidden costs afterwards.
Hiring a DJ for a wedding
The success of your most beautiful day, your wedding, depends to a large extent on the DJ. An all-round wedding DJ provides the music, of course, but also creates the ambiance and provides entertainment. For example, don't forget to discuss your opening dance with your wedding DJ and make your wishes in the musical field clear. If you hire a DJ for a wedding, a specialised DJ will effortlessly bring the appropriate music for every age. Even with a diverse crowd, everyone can have fun when you hire a wedding DJ. Don't wait too long to hire a DJ because good craftsmen and women are sometimes fully booked for the next two years. Discuss this with your wedding planner.
