Pastorie Leke
Perfect team day at a beautiful location
We recently organized a team day at this beautiful location where old and modern elements come together seamlessly. The historic architecture and modern interior created an attractive and inviting environment.
The catering was excellent. We started the day with a delicious breakfast and asked for a simple, light meal in the afternoon. We had an excellent lunch, including some delicious tacos.
From start to finish we were well attended and received kindly. This location is highly recommended for a successful team day.

A Heavenly Experience at Pastorie Leke!
Our recent event at Pastorie Leke was nothing short of an epic rollercoaster ride of delight! From start to finish we were pampered, and honestly, we felt like the kings and queens of Leke.
First let's talk about the location itself. It's like stepping into a time machine that takes you to an authentic, yet stylish world. They have found the perfect balance between old and new, and the result is simply breathtaking. Our guests were amazed when they arrived - and honestly, so were we!
And then there was the food, provided by none other than Newport Foodies. Let's just say we all packed on a few extra pounds, but it was totally worth it! Every dish was like a work of art for our taste buds. We have never heard so many "mmm's" and "wow's" during a meal. All credit to the chefs!
The events team, led by the tireless Antoine, was like a well-oiled machine. They went out of their way to make sure we didn't have to worry about the details. We could just relax and enjoy, knowing that everything went smoothly.
And let's not forget that Pastorie Leke and Newport Foodies worked together like a well-oiled duo. The collaboration was so seamless that our event went off without a hitch. It was like a perfectly performed symphony.
In short, we cannot recommend Pastorie Leke and Antoine enough. Our guests were impressed, and so were we. If you're looking for the perfect location for your next event, look no further. This is the place to be.

Wedding party
My husband and I were looking for an atypical location for our wedding party. When we came across this beautiful location on the internet we were completely sold!
We were able to visit two days later. A beautiful authentic location that has been beautifully upgraded. The well-thought-out renovation brings out the authentic elements beautifully and yet the building is ultra-modern.
During the same visit, Antoin presented us with a very nice concept. We went home with a very good feeling!
The location is free of brewers and catering. Antoine also does catering himself (NewPort foodies). We were certainly open to this and requested a quote. The cost of catering and staff fell outside our budget, so we decided to work with external catering. The location was reserved and paid for.
During the second and third visits we met Antoin's brother, Laurenz. It turned out that there had been an incident involving tenants. There was smoking inside, there was damage and there were several noise complaints... We were warned several times during the visit that they did not want to experience this again and that we should avoid noise pollution. We thought this was terrible and promised to do everything we could to prevent similar situations. Laurenz indicated that someone will be present at the party to check this. Coffee was also suddenly no longer included for wedding parties, despite this being stated in the user agreement that was sent to us. So a lot of negativity.
The week of the wedding, during the preparation various things had to be supplied, such as a brewer and catering... We got the feeling that this was a huge burden for them. Everything was just too much to ask... they have to send someone special to open the storage room... But isn't that what you can expect with a free brewer and catering? The day before we rented the location to get everything ready. The furniture that was requested/rented was not yet ready, so we were only able to start later. The location was not clean for rental. There were cobwebs, the floor and windows were dirty. Still, we made the best of it and everything was ready for our wedding day. What was supposed to be a wonderful day ended in a bad way. During the day we asked a band to play some background music during the reception. Apparently this was already a bad thing. What exactly is the problem on a Saturday afternoon?
At 9:30 PM all the people were inside and all windows and doors were closed. When the DJ started it was all over. The DJ continuously monitored the sound inside with a decibel meter. With the doors and windows closed, almost nothing could be heard outside. Yet Laurenz spent the entire party pacing around the garden. He came in several times to complain about the noise. We kept asking the DJ to lower the sound, which he did. Until you could hear the people chatting better than the music itself. Our DJ had enough, he can't do his job this way. He flew out at the owners as we are completely within our rights and legally doing nothing wrong. The DJ, bar staff and catering had never seen this before. Everyone thought the way they acted was completely out of proportion.
Laurenz threatened several times that complaints were coming in and that the police had come. However, we never saw the police ourselves and they certainly did not come in to report that it was too loud. Finally my husband and I came out to talk to the owners. We stood discussing despondently and full of incomprehension. People listened but not heard.
We were deeply disappointed. We were sold a beautiful concept that you were unable to realize. If these are not the type of parties you want to rent for, with all due respect. But then come clean about this.
What you have mainly forgotten is that you rented it out for a wedding. You normally only get married once. This was supposed to be a beautiful and carefree day.
