New milestone: Halito! obtains ISO 27001 certificate [press release]

At Halito! privacy, security and information security are at the top of the priority list. For years. And they have now anchored that by obtaining the ISO 27001 certificate. With this certification, Halito! indicates that it complies with the international standard for information security.

Milestone

“We have been working towards this for over 2 years and can safely say that this is one of the most important milestones ever. As a modest SME, we prove that we set the bar particularly high for ourselves when it comes to information security. This makes us one of the top 300 Belgian companies that have effectively achieved ISO 27001,” said Bart Van Zele, a proud managing director.

Reassurance for customers

“Although 100% security does not exist, it is a huge reassurance for our existing customers that we have everything neatly organized. International corporates in particular are now seeing their risk decrease, and we are getting very enthusiastic responses about that,” beams Bart Van Zele.

ISO 27001 is the international standard for information security

Information and knowledge is for Halito! one of the most important assets. That is why it is necessary to properly protect that data. Because the ISO 27001 standard is internationally regarded as the quality certificate to demonstrate that a company takes adequate security measures to protect data, Halito! opted for this label.

Objective and independent

An ISO 27001 certificate is the objective and independent proof with which you as an organization demonstrate that you are serious and structurally involved with information security. This was preceded by a very extensive audit by DQS, an independent body.

The certificate is not an endpoint

Achieving ISO 27001 is not an endpoint. Continuous improvement of information security is expected, and as standards change, Halito! to follow. Within the team they have therefore defined different roles to ensure that a certificate is not a one-time effort but a continuous process.

It's about excellence, not perfection

ISO 27001 is dé internationale norm voor informatiebeveiliging

Informatie en kennis is voor Halito! één van de belangrijkste bezittingen. Daarom is het nodig om die data goed te beschermen. Omdat de ISO 27001-norm internationaal aanzien wordt als hét kwaliteitscertificaat om aan te tonen dat een onderneming adequate beveiligingsmaatregelen neemt om data te beschermen, heeft Halito! gekozen voor dit label.

Objectief en onafhankelijk

Een ISO 27001 certificaat is het objectief en onafhankelijk bewijs waarmee je als organisatie aantoont dat je serieus en structureel bezig bent met informatiebeveiliging. Daar is een heel uitgebreide audit aan vooraf gegaan door DQS, een onafhankelijk orgaan.

Het certificaat is geen eindpunt

Een ISO 27001 behalen, is geen eindpunt. Er wordt een continue verbetering van informatiebeveiliging verwacht en als de normen worden aangepast, dient Halito! te volgen. Binnen het team hebben ze dan ook verschillende rollen gedefinieerd om ervoor te zorgen dat een certificaat geen eenmalige inspanning is maar een continue proces.

Het gaat over excellentie, niet perfectie

“Risico’s zullen er altijd bestaan en dat is bij ISO 27001 niet anders. Het ISO 27001 certificaat gaat dan ook niet over perfectie, wel over excellentie. En daar zijn we bij Halito! ook bijzonder trots op. Of dit gevierd zal worden? Wees maar zeker want dit certificaat is eens te meer het bewijs dat dit de verdienste is van een ongelooflijk sterk team!”
