Ilke van der Mark becomes Commercial Director at Daymakers Group


The 3 entrepreneurs behind Daymakers Group (the parent company of D&B Eventmarketing and FX Agency) are pleased to announce that Ilke van der Mark will become Commercial Director of Daymakers. She will lead the commercial team of D&B and FX and contribute to the mission of the live and digital experience group: 'Leave no one behind'.


Last year, D&B Eventmarketing and FX Agency joined forces because they believe in the combination of the undeniable impact of live and the compelling power of digital.

“In recent years, we have seen at both agencies that there is so much more potential in reach and effect if you let live experiences and digital technologies reinforce each other. You get much more out of your investment and reach many more people by adding a digital 'layer' to your campaign. Especially in this day and age when people are increasingly working remotely, are frugal with their time and also like to decide for themselves when they want to consume certain content. The mix of both disciplines will increase rapidly in the coming years”, says Niels Janssen, Chief Creative Officer of Daymakers Group.


Daymakers Group is a unique combination in the market. Two renowned agencies joined forces last year to strive for a new standard in experiential marketing and live communication: 100% involvement and reach.


Peter Zijlstra, Chief Operating Officer at Daymakers Group: “We all know that the merger of two companies requires a lot of attention and time. In order to also make 'leave no one behind' a reality internally, we have opted for a well-considered cultural trajectory. Next summer, both agencies will move to one office in Utrecht, the search has already started. The various disciplines of the companies are now working intensively together on assignments for Google, E.ON, Cosun, Lely and Salesforce, for example. The next step was to merge the commercial team, because it all starts with the clients.”


With Ilke van der Mark, an extremely experienced and passionate 'daymaker' joins the group. She has worked in various event marketing positions since 2002, with her last feat being CCO at effectgroep*. But she also gained a lot of experience on the client side, including as senior marketing communications at Baker Tilly. In her previous career, Ilke worked for 2 years at D&B in a commercial role.

“For me, everything is coming together now,” says Ilke, “My job satisfaction lies in creating campaigns that support clients in their strategy, plans and transformations. In recent years, I have also seen that the solution no longer lies solely in live or digital. How cool that I am now working for an organisation that can offer everything in that area from one house. I would like to contribute to that ambition. The first conversations I have had with the MTs and the commercial team have left me wanting much more!”


D&B Eventmarketing and FX Agency have long seen that events and experiences are an essential part of the communication and marketing strategy of brands.
