Patrick van Rossum new co-owner and Commercial Director Gooiland Hilversum
Owner of event location and hotel Gooiland, Philip Lamers, wants to prepare his company for the future, for the moment when meeting is an everyday affair again. That is why he has decided to strengthen the management. Patrick van Rossum, former Commercial Manager of MPS | food & design, has been co-owner and Commercial Director of Gooiland since 1 December 2020.
As COVID-19 constraints become less and less in the coming months, the need to meet will only increase. Philip Lamers, as General Manager of an event location, wants to respond directly to this. With the new Commercial Director, Patrick van Rossum, on board, the location must be able to run at full speed again as soon as possible.
Fresh look at the company
Philip: “This crisis is extremely demanding. I had to let fantastic people go, but at the same time I am confident that the market will eventually pick up again. To be able to handle that well, I need someone who is next to me and thinks along with me. A co-owner as a sparring partner, someone with a fresh perspective on the company. With Lennart Peeperkorn as an involved advisor, I started the search for this person. I am very happy that I found Patrick through him. I got to know Patrick as a very warm personality who manages relationships like no other. Just by being who he is. He is positive and goes through fire for his relationships. And of course he has a lot of experience in the event world. ”
High-end events
Patrick knows the ins and outs within the catering and events industry. He has been active in this world for twenty years and knows both the operational and commercial side. For the past 3.5 years he was Commercial Manager at MPS | food & design.
Patrick: “I can't wait to introduce my relations to Gooiland. This location is so cool! Besides being completely up-to-date, there is so much possible. You have a theater for plenary sessions, a light, open space for a drink and a hotel for multi-day events. And I haven't even mentioned the rest of the rooms. Truly a location for high-end events. ”

Eigenaar van evenementenlocatie en hotel Gooiland, Philip Lamers, wil zijn bedrijf klaarmaken voor de toekomst, voor het moment dat ontmoeten weer een alledaagse aangelegenheid is. Daarom heeft hij besloten de directie te versterken. Patrick van Rossum, voormalig Commercieel Manager van MPS | food & design, is sinds 1 december 2020 mede-eigenaar en Commercieel Directeur van Gooiland.
Als de aankomende maanden de beperkingen door COVID-19 steeds minder worden, stijgt de behoefte om elkaar te ontmoeten alleen maar meer. Philip Lamers wil daar als Algemeen Directeur van een evenementenlocatie direct op inspelen. Met de nieuwe Commercieel Directeur, Patrick van Rossum, aan boord moet de locatie zo snel mogelijk weer op volle toeren kunnen draaien.
Frisse blik op het bedrijf
Philip: “Deze crisis vergt enorm veel. Ik heb fantastische mensen moeten laten gaan, maar heb er tegelijkertijd vertrouwen in dat de markt uiteindelijk weer aantrekt. Om dat goed aan te kunnen, heb ik iemand nodig die naast me staat en met me meedenkt. Een mede-eigenaar als sparringpartner, iemand met een frisse blik op het bedrijf. Met Lennart Peeperkorn als betrokken adviseur ben ik de zoektocht naar deze persoon gestart. Ik ben ontzettend blij dat ik via hem Patrick op het spoor ben gekomen. Ik heb Patrick leren kennen als een enorm warme persoonlijkheid, die als geen ander relaties beheert. Gewoon door te zijn wie hij is. Hij is positief en gaat door het vuur voor zijn relaties. En hij heeft natuurlijk een bak ervaring in de evenementenwereld.”
High-end events
Patrick weet binnen de horeca- en evenementenbranche van de hoed en de rand. Al twintig jaar beweegt hij zich in deze wereld en hij kent zowel de operationele als commerciële kant. De afgelopen 3,5 jaar was hij Commercieel Manager bij MPS | food & design.
Patrick: “Ik kan niet wachten om mijn relaties kennis te laten maken met Gooiland. Deze locatie is zo gaaf! Naast dat het helemaal up-to-date is, is er zoveel mogelijk. Zo heb je een theater voor plenaire sessies, een lichte, open ruimte om na te borrelen en een hotel voor meerdaagse events. En dan heb ik het nog niet eens gehad over de rest van de ruimtes. Echt een locatie voor high-end evenementen.”
