Expo Houten first event location that functions as a vaccination location
Expo Houten is the first Dutch event location to accommodate, facilitate and support the GGD as a vaccination location. After weeks of preparation, the first vaccination was given to a healthcare worker today, Friday, January 8, 2021. Expo Houten is the first location chosen for the entire region by the GGD Regio Utrecht. The choice fell on Expo Houten because we comply with all safety measures required by the GGD and the government. The location is safe and well equipped and adapted to the current measures. The location is centrally located and easily accessible for everyone.
In addition, we have been working with the GGD since the start of the corona crisis when we facilitated the first drive-thru test street in the Netherlands. In recent months we have built up a close and trusted cooperation with the GGD. For example, the courses 'source and contact research' and 'vaccination' also take place at this location. We are pleased that the GGD has once again chosen Expo Houten and that we can now again contribute to the further fight against the corona virus. Only together can we get corona under control!
The other halls and meeting rooms will remain available for (already planned) fairs, conferences and meetings.

Expo Houten is de eerste Nederlandse evenementenlocatie die de GGD accommodeert, faciliteert en ondersteunt als vaccinatielocatie. Na weken van voorbereiding is vandaag, vrijdag 8 januari 2021, de eerste vaccinatie gegeven aan een zorgmedewerker. Expo Houten is de eerste locatie die voor de gehele regio is uitgekozen door de GGD Regio Utrecht. De keuze is op Expo houten gevallen omdat we voldoen aan alle veiligheidsmaatregelen die door de GGD en de overheid gevraagd worden. De locatie is veilig en goed ingericht en aangepast aan de huidige maatregelen. De locatie is centraal gelegen en zo voor iedereen goed te bereiken.
Daarnaast werken we al samen met de GGD sinds het begin van de corona crisis toen we de eerste drive-thru teststraat van Nederland faciliteerden. De afgelopen maanden hebben we een nauwe en vertrouwde samenwerking opgebouwd met de GGD. Zo vinden op deze locatie ook de opleidingen ‘bron- en contactonderzoek’ en ‘vaccinatie’ plaats. We zijn verheugd dat de GGD wederom voor Expo Houten heeft gekozen en dat we ook nu weer kunnen bijdragen in de verdere strijd tegen het corona-virus. Alleen samen krijgen we corona onder controle!
De overige hallen en vergaderzalen blijven beschikbaar voor (reeds geplande) beurzen, congressen en vergaderingen.
