beMatrix has been crowned winner of not one but two of this year’s iF DESIGN AWARDS, the world-renowned design prize, organised by International Forum Design GmbH. 132 judges examined critically the Fast Clamp® and the LEDskin® P1.5, two new beMatrix products, and gave fantastic scores in the categories differentiation, form, function, idea and impact. 

The iF DESIGN AWARD is one of the most important and prestigious design awards in the world. Every year, several thousand designers, architects and companies from all over the world take part to have their design evaluated by independent design experts.

beMatrix is founder, innovator and manufacturer of the most sustainable frame system for the construction of exhibition stands, pop-up concepts, indoor and outdoor events.“We are proud of our products and happy to receive this recognition for the hard work of our complete team.” says Stefaan Decroos, CEO of the beMatrix group. 

Fast Clamp®

Out of the 10,807 submissions, the beMatrix Fast Clamp® won in the discipline product in the category industry and tools. With 290 points and differentiation in the market, the judges were convinced to crown beMatrix as winners.

The Fast Clamp® is the first single one-hand connector that forms a sustainable and fast connection between two aluminum frames. A time saving element that simplifies stock management in the event sector.

LEDskin®

Together with Unilumin, beMatrix created a high quality LEDskin® cabinet in pixel pitch 1.5 mm with high class COB Flip Chip LED technology. More integration options are available thanks to its robust design and it is the first LED cabinet of this type that is available in the in the rental business.

The judges really liked the backstory of this innovation and gave a top score that surpassed all the other entries. This way, LEDskin® P1.5 has been crowned IF Design Award winner in the discipline product and category public/retail of 2024.

Hot off the press. Last night, beMatrix won the prize for 'Best Stand Design' in the category of stands from 30 to 69 square meters. At 7 meters, the stand was the largest in the hall. A great recognition for the creativity of the entire team!

Integrated Systems Europe, ISE, is the world's largest 4-day trade fair for AV systems integration, taking place this year in Barcelona.

2023 is not only the year of beMatrix's participation in EuroShop, it is also the year in which the thirtieth anniversary of the well-known beMatrix framework will be celebrated. In 1993, the 55 mm frame saw the light of day. This was perfected in 2012 with the invention of the patented b62 frame.

CEOs Stefaan Decroos and Edwin Van der Vennet acquired the original large hole frame system in 2004 and founded beMatrix in the same year. From its head office in Roeselare (Belgium), the company has grown into a reliable partner for the sector. From February 26 to March 2, 2023, EuroShop will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany. The world's most important trade fair for the retail sector is the ideal opportunity for beMatrix, the Belgian market leader in simple and sustainable stand construction, to launch various innovations. As always, they closely matched the DNA of the Roeselare company.

In 1993, beMatrix introduced the first invisible stand construction system that offers virtually unlimited creative finishing options. The frames – the 'body' – can be used to create any shape – straight or curved – in any size. The walls, floors and ceilings also flow seamlessly into one harmonious whole. The infills of the frames – the 'skin' – offer numerous finishing options, tailored to the customer's expectations. The result is an aesthetic and sleek stand where the focus is entirely on the message that the exhibitor wants to communicate.

🚀 beMatrix presents 9 novelties at EuroShop

The city-inspired beMatrix stand (📍 C03, hall 1) gave visitors the opportunity to get acquainted for the first time with all existing beMatrix products and with the new products that were unveiled at EuroShop. These innovations will change the stand building world forever.

1. Glass frame

With the introduction of the glass frame, stand builders can now also fill the frames with glass. A perfect eye-catcher is thus created without too much effort. The welded glass frames offer all the advantages of the straight b62® frames. At the same time, they can be mounted next to each other and on top of each other and connected with the well-known beMatrix connectors.

2. beConstruct

beConstruct is a user-friendly and lightweight profile for non-load-bearing constructions. Thanks to its dimensions of 124 mm by 124 mm, this profile is perfectly compatible with the beMatrix frame system (where the width, length and height are always a multiple of 62).

3. FastClamp

The new Fast Clamp is revolutionizing our industry. From now on, only one hand is needed for screwdriving instead of two. It saves stand builders an enormous amount of time, without sacrificing the sturdiness of the stand.

In addition to these innovations, several members of the beMatrix product family received an update: the BIG SAM Light, the 124 mm double-sided light box, the Perfect Corner, the beTV integrated in the stand and a platform for the Double Deck. Last but not least, the new website was launched at the end of 2022. It also forms the gateway to the user-friendly MybeMatrix platform.

Every year, 10 000 tons of material that are still perfectly usable are thrown away in the event sector.
