Everything about space travel can be seen and experienced in Space Expo, the official visitor center of the European Space Agency. You will be taken on a journey through distant planets and beautiful galaxies. In addition to its rich history of space, including attention to the first satellite, the first manned space flight and the first steps on the moon by Neil Armstrong, Space Expo also shows the applications and the technology behind space travel.
On display are many rocket and satellite models, including some real test models and a Russian spy satellite that was actually in space in 1988. You can also discover how André Kuipers lived on board the International Space Station. You can walk around the crew accommodation and the European space laboratory yourself. We also have a replica of the Soyuz capsule with which André Kuipers was launched. You can also take a seat here (3 people at the same time) and experience a ride.
