Fast, reliable and friendly!

|Karlien Marcelis (Bednet vzw)|19/11/2024

Bednet will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2024 and we wanted to celebrate that. Sylvester helped us set up an event in the Flemish Parliament. From the start of our collaboration, they made a great effort to create something beautiful that fit within our budget and the idea we had in mind. They also clearly indicated the deadlines and what we could expect from the day. Increases (or decreases) in price were checked in advance. On the day itself, Jason and Lieselotte had everything under control and took on tasks to relieve us of our worries. We received many compliments about the event from those present. Highly recommended to work with!

Circular State of the Union

|Melody Van den Acker (Vlaanderen Circulair)|22/10/2024

We have worked with Sylvester before to our satisfaction. We also called on them for our community event Circular State of the Union 2024. Their professionalism, extensive experience and proactive attitude provide peace of mind when organising large events. They are a reliable partner, both in the preparation and during the event itself. We also appreciate their smooth and clear communication.

Perfectly organised family day

|Shirley Timmermans (HARIBO The Netherlands & Belgium B.V.)|21/10/2024

Cosy family day at HARIBO Kontich. At HARIBO we are very proud of our products and our people. And our people are also proud of the work they do, which they were happy to show during the family day. Last Saturday we welcomed more than 300 colleagues and their family members for an exclusive tour of our factory in Kontich, where the most delicious Chamallows are made. It was a fantastic day full of fun and beautiful memories for young and old. Everyone could see with their own eyes how our delicious Chamallows are made and of course everything could be tasted, straight from the production line! The children enjoyed the bacon, but also other things that we had organised together with Cum Laude such as the bouncy castles, a balloon clown and even a bacon swimming pool! The food trucks provided delicious snacks and everyone left with a smile and a well-filled goodie bag. A big thank you to Annemie from Cum Laude for organising this family day perfectly. We have never received so many compliments afterwards. Until next time.

Expert meeting in connection with the Belgian Presidency of the EU

|Stef Van Der Hoeven (Sport Vlaanderen)|13/10/2024

In the context of the Belgian presidency of the Council of the European Union, Sport Vlaanderen organised an informal expert meeting on “(Digital) solutions to involve the independent athlete/sportsperson more" in Sport Vlaanderen Bruges on 25 and 26 April 2024. We called on Sylvester Events to organise this two-day expert meeting. Communication with Marjon, Stefan and Lieselotte went very smoothly and constructively from the start. Lieselotte was our main point of contact and the first coordinator (besides ourselves) for the organisation of the expert meeting. She often came up with creative ideas and thought of things that we would not have thought of at first. In addition, there was always clear communication about the expected budget and which decisions/applications would have an impact on this. Together we succeeded in setting up a very successful expert meeting, so we look back with great satisfaction on the collaboration with Sylvester Events.

Concert Organization

Organising concerts takes a lot of work. Make a list: you have to take into account booking bands, the singers, an outdoor location or the concert hall, all the necessary technical infrastructure, audiovisual equipment and catering, but also getting permits for your concert gig, insurance, organising the ticket sales, creating ticket templates, and much more. Fortunately, you can count on the companies below; they ensure that your concert organisation becomes a piece of cake and your concert will be one with a lasting impact.

How do you go about organising a concert?

Of course, you start by thinking about when and where your concert will take place. You should also know who your audience is, what music they expect, and how long your custom concert will last.

Planning on time is crucial when organising a concert. Especially if you have a tent or open air event, it is best to reserve extra preparation time. You have to apply for the necessary permits and you may also want to score some subsidies. You will also need time to set up production, to do a rehearsal, and for the necessary online and offline advertising and public relations. After your concert, it is best to reserve your agenda for administration and spreading photos, recordings, and your aftermovie. You maintain an overview of your total planning process with professional event planning software.

Also think about whether the concert location you have chosen has staff or do you have to put together your own team? Think, for example, of an experienced team for light and sound, people for catering and drinks, security, a cleaning team, a photo report by an event photographer, a video report by an experienced videographer, ...

And then there is also the financial side of concert organisation. Keep a close eye on your budget when organising a concert and compare the income (expected number of paying guests at your event, sponsorship, merchandise revenue, and income from food and drinks) in relation to the costs (such as room rental, fees of the musicians, security, technology, insurance, advertising and publicity costs, and other production costs).

Your concert is over, so your work is done? Not really, unfortunately. In addition to cleaning, there are a few things on your agenda. Don't forget to thank your musicians, your audience, and your team. After the performance, it is important to evaluate your event properly. How many participants did you have, has your reach on your social media increased, have more people signed up for your newsletter and communication? Use your photos, videos, and other content and save them all so that you can use them again at a later time. Also, get your calculator out. Was your budget right? What was more expensive and what was cheaper?
