The Chapel of Our Lady

Built in 1864 from funds raised by army superiors and well-to-do supporters, the quaint Chapel of Our Lady was the Presidio’s first house of worship, where generations of military personnel attended services. It’s located in the heart of the Presidio on the Main Post near the Inn at the Presidio and the Presidio Officers’ Club. Today, it’s a customer's favorite backdrop for special occasions including weddings, memorials, concerts, and meetings. From the inside as well as the outside, the venue gives off modern and classic characteristics at the same time. It has a capacity of up to 200 people at once, depending on the event. Enjoy a private nature view with tall eucalyptus and local foliage. Exquisite hand-painted rafters create an airy atmosphere accented with hanging chandeliers, tall pillars, and historic pews.
