Welcome to the Trial; a heritage restoration project for the Horticultural School in Frederiksoord. The gardens and buildings have a new function focused on the themes: Historical greenery, horticulture, food, education and art and culture.
The gardens in Frederiksoord have a rich history dating back to 1884, the year in which the first Horticultural School in the Netherlands was founded. In the following years, this school grew into a promising national and international success. The so-called 'garden hares' studied here, who brought Frederiksoord to life and acquired practical knowledge that made them experts in the field of horticulture.
Here you can see mature trees and be inspired by the various elements within our pillars. Organizing/planning a workshop, lecture, meeting or other event? We offer space at this unique location for small groups of up to 150 people in the indoor areas. The gardens as a location are also possible, even for larger groups.
