Gaasbeek Castle is a unique historical house with a rich history and a diverse collection. It is located in the middle of an oasis of greenery, in the shelter of Brussels. We take care of this special ensemble, which also includes the various historical park buildings. On this peaceful interface between nature and culture, you can feel the heartbeat of passers-by from different centuries, all idiosyncratic people, striving for freedom, with an eye for innovation.

We interpret stories and appeal to your empathy and imagination. We invite a diverse range of artists, scientists, entrepreneurs - but also every visitor - to enter into dialogue with this place. In this way, we arrive together at open perspectives on society and at an exciting confrontation with who we are. Here, the present and the past meet in an intimate embrace, in which they continually create new meanings and connections with ourselves, the other(s) and the world.

We are grounded in a larger whole, in connection with the world around us and in valuable collaborations with a wide range of (local, national and international) partners.

The castle is open again!

It will be a festive year in which the castle will exist for 100 years as a museum. We will celebrate this with the return of the castle collection in a brand new scenography . We will also invite various contemporary artists to be inspired by the castle, the collection and the many stories in order to offer an enriching view of ourselves and the world around us.
