etouches, a provider of cloud event management software solutions, announced the acquisition of TapCrowd, a leader in creating event mobile applications and marketing data for businesses and associations globally.
The purchase of TapCrowd will boost etouches ability to offer its customers a leading-edge solution in enhancing attendee engagement and networking at events, improved productivity for event planners and sponsors, and help them generate and manage event data analytics and ROI across events.
Founded in 2010 by Brecht Fourneau and Miquel Vermeulen, TapCrowd gives a core focus to event applications and streamlines the publication of the apps on all leading marketplaces, including iOS, Android, Windows Phone, as well as cross browser HTML5 hybrid apps. The company offers a comprehensive, but easy to use platform that allows event professionals to fully control the app creation process from A to Z.
More importantly, TapCrowd has led the transition of a more data-centric approach to mobile apps, answering to a growing market need by delivering marketing mobile automation and event data analytics. Headquartered in Ghent, Belgium, the company has customers across Europe, North America, South America and the Middle East. Some of their customers include Carrefour, Kia, Marketo, NOKIA, and SAP.
"Our customers expressed a growing demand for integrated solutions that can innovate and deliver for their events", said Oni Chukwu, CEO of etouches. "The acquisition of TapCrowd adds a very important nugget in our drive, to provide the most innovative and comprehensive solution available in the market to our customers. I am personally delighted that this acquisition also brings with it a tight-knit, innovative and tech savvy team of 16 technologists, with strong domain knowledge, to join us to further extend our burgeoning leadership in the event technology space."
"We are very proud of etouches' stellar reputation and market momentum, and are excited to join this strong team to bring our innovative technology to the global market", Said Niko Nelissen, CEO of TapCrowd. "Our deep integration with etouches enterprise event management platform will offer clients a seamless experience, combining a state-of-the-art event mobile experience with unprecedented marketing, social and data opportunities to promote and monetize their events."
As part of the acquisition, the entire TapCrowd team, including its two co-founders, will join etouches. In addition, Niko Nelissen will join the etouches' executive team as Vice President of Mobile, Engagement & Data to spearhead etouches' innovative efforts in developing the most comprehensive solution set for attendee experience, social engagement and marketing data for events.
