Is your favourite concert sold out? Perhaps it's not too late to get those tickets. The app Seaters sells you the very last empty seats at a much lower price. Take that chance.
This has to be excellent news to those die-hard fans of for instance Justin Bieber or Adèle who did not succeed in buying a ticket in the regular ticket sales. Of course, there are no guarantees, but it does offer you an extra opportunity to be there last-minute. The app also offers interesting possibilities for organisers.
How does it work? Seaters contacts organisers and sponsors. Those always have a few empty seats left, even if the place is sold out. The start-up takes advantage of those seats. And because Seaters works with sponsors, the tickets are often cheaper than in the regular sale.
In the app Seaters you become a member of a fan group of your favourite artist. Then you choose an event at the place and date of your preference and you will immediately see what your ticket will cost you. You request a ticket and will be placed in a queue. Your request is therefore certainly not yet a reservation. However, you will get an indication of your place in the queue and of the chance that you will still be able to get a ticket. As soon as a ticket is available, you will be informed.
In this series 'Start-up' we discover starters with an innovative offer which is useful for the event industry.
